Gayatri Rajapatni

 
Gayatri Rajapatni was a shadow queen behind her daughter, Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. She refused to sit on the throne because she had became monk. However, when she passed away, the Queen Tunggadewi yield her throne to his son, Hayam Wuruk, thus people wonder whether it was Gayatri who actually ruled Majapahit.

During Tunggadewi/Gayatri, Majapahit expanded their territory, conquering the other islands. Gayatri herself was the fourth daughter of the late Kertanegara, the last king of Singhasari who had successfully conquered Sumatera.

Anoman Obong (Burning Hanuman)

In April 2009 (hmm.. was I in United States at that time?), I sketch Anoman against two rakshasas. 

Today, I colored them using Medi Bang.

A Study of Coloring in Medi Bang

I experiment to color using Medibang. 

At first, I color the the clothed with red and then I set the layer into overlay. 
And then, I color the skin.

I color it first, 
and then set to overlay.
And I add another color below, and I set the intensity by pick dark grey to grey. 

For the face, I use blur tools and then smudge tools.
For the hand, I use airbrush hard, and then normal airbrush. 

After that, in sketch layer, I erase some shading line.

Black Canary from DC Comics

 
I wanted to draw a female character using a motor cycle. And, the one I remember was Black Canary.

I suddenly aware that Black Canary did not have "black" stuff. Yes, in some comic or TV series, she used black jacket or black clothes but she could wear yellow or light blue or dark blue and she would still be called Black Canary.

Look at the costume from animation Young Justice and Justice League Unlimited. She wear dark blue jacket.

Look at the movie character poster from Bird of Prey: Emancipation of Harley Quinn.

She didn't wear black at all.

Even in the comic in the 90s, sometimes she used simply blue.

Mantili vs Lasmini from Saur Sepuh (my drawing in 2021 vs 2024)

When I was a child, my family took me to watch Saur Sepuh 3. I remember being amazed by Mantili vs Lasmini who fought in a coconut leaves. 

So, I drew them in 2021.

If I'm not mistaken, I drew the above picture using a ballpoint. 

Yesterday, when I waited the stand up show, The Founder 5, started, I got a little bored so I took my pencil, sketched, and inked using Snowman Drawing Pen .1 and .6.  Instead of Saur Sepuh 3, I imagined them from Saur Sepuh 5. Yes, Mantili and Lasmini had fought several time from Saur Sepuh 1, Saur Sepuh 3, and Saur Sepuh 5.
